Navigating the Storm: Understanding Depression is a compilation of all my tried and true tips & tricks to living a fulfilling and meaningful life while experiencing depression. It will take you through what Depression is, because I sure didn't know what it was when I had it. Then it will give you all my secrets so you can live the kind of life you want and deserve to live. I want you to have the kind of freedom and peace I found. Everything you need is inside.

What to Expect

I remember like it was yesterday that feeling of hopelessness. Like I was banging on a dirty glass wall, trying to get back to myself. Getting out of bed felt like it was more energy than I had. The tears felt like they'd never end, until they did and I felt nothing, maybe it was better when I was crying? I remember & I don't want anyone to feel that way for one moment longer. This self-guided course is the course I would have wanted. It is a deep dive into what Depression is, what severity levels you may be experiencing it at and what to do about it. You want a natural remedy for Depression? Here it is. Though I am not anti-medication by any means, everything in this course is all natural. We will engage in behavioral and thought strategies that work. I know, I have lived it. Join me in this course or contact me. You are not alone.

I never want money to be the reason you aren't pursuing health. If you aren't able to afford the course, please email me and we can figure something out.

The Why + the approach

More About This Course

A Personal Note from Julia Bratton:

Navigating the Storm: Understanding Depression is a course I wish I had when I was in the throes of depression. And the truth is that I was struggling with depression for almost two decades before I even knew that that's what was going on. There is something that can be so powerful (and helpful) in knowing that there's a name for what is going on within you and that you don't have to keep suffering. There are so many tools out there that are so helpful if you are struggling and if you know what you are looking for.

When I worked as a social worker in a hospital, part of my job was to ask patients if they had any history of mental illness. Pretty quickly, I realized, I also had to ask them, separately, if they had ever struggled with anxiety or depression. And that's because so many people don't regard anxiety or depression as a mental illness. But that's exactly what it is. It's not a personality defect, it's not a failure, it's not anything that sheer willpower can get you through. It is an illness and that means there is nothing you could have done or not done to prevent it but that also means there’s treatment.

The treatment approaches I offer in this course are my tried and true, go to ways to manage depression. They are things that over the years I have found to be helpful, that aren’t medication. That doesn’t mean you can’t use them if you are taking medication and it doesn't mean you can't take medication if you are using these tools. But it does mean that there are more things for you to use to help feel better, faster.

In this course, I am going to take you through some of the things that I commonly include in the first 12 sessions of psychotherapy. That means that you get the tools, the homework, and the benefit of going through 12 sessions of therapy in this 90 minute course!

I am so passionate about helping people feel better, regardless of what they are going through, and the stigma of having any sort of mental health issue is alive and real. It’s also really hard to think that what you are going through may be a mental health issue. Why not give this course a go and see if it resonates? If it does, it could completely transform the way you live your life. And the best part? I’ll be right here the whole time.
